2021 is a better year for comedy than 2020, when comedians begin to enter our pandemic world, The Daily Beast’s The last laugh podcast host Matt Wilstein tells Molly Jong-Fast and Jesse Cannon about this episode of New anomaly, it’s all about political comedy.
There are a lot of high points — like Trump and Biden Saturday night live The impressions are still great although it’s hard to find someone imitating Biden. In fact, SNLBiden and Trump are currently played by the same person, and “so far they haven’t been able to get Biden and Trump to appear together,” Wilstein noted.

In addition to listening to their favorite clips, including one of the Impressionists MyPillow Guy, the three also hit the low points in the 2021 comedy. Exhibit A are comedians, like Wilstein say, think they’ve been canceled or really want to be for some reason, like Dave Chappelle.
Wilstein, who found Chappelle was deliberately choosing to fit in with the crowd of anti-wake comedians, like Joe Rogan, with whom he toured.
“There’s a talk of a civil war in comedy,” he added.
Of course, this wouldn’t be a political comedy episode if they weren’t about the hit show Heir, which Wilstein believes “has become the best TV series of the year and possibly one of the funniest shows of the year”.
Jesse plays a clip of what he says is the best line in the series this season. It’s about fascism, of course.
